Carlinville Mural

The Carlinville mural was inspired by vintage postcards highlighting the town’s attractions. The mural was painted by Carlinville citizens Bernie Gietl and D.L. Whitlock-Gietl and incorporates components of the Carlinville community.

The letters represented by the following: C – Abraham Lincoln; A – Route 66; R – Rotary Club; L – Carlinville Area Hospital; I – Agriculture; N – Carlinville Gazebo; V – Macoupin County Courthouse; I and L – Historic Carlinville Square; L – Carlinville Cavalier and Blackburn Beaver; E – Macoupin County Fair.
